Curry talks about new rules: I yelled at those who were worried about shooting percentage and dared not shoot long shots at the buzzer

Among the new rules of the new season, missed buzzer-beating shots from long range at the end of the quarter will not be included in the player's personal shooting statistics.

In a recent interview with the Warriors, Curry was asked about his views on the new rules.

Reporter: I have never asked you, what do you think of the new shooting rules? You have always been known for daring to take shots like this at the buzzer at the end of the quarter. Dream Chasing has said before that the Warriors' unspoken rule is that they must take such shots. Now that these shots are not included in the statistics, will the change in the rules bother you or will you support this change?

Curry: I used to be like a grumpy old man, sitting on the porch and yelling at people who were afraid to take long-range buzzer-beating shots because they were worried about affecting their shooting percentage. Now the league has eliminated this concern (meaning it will not be counted in the shooting percentage). I know guys are throwing it now, and I really like that - it always gives you a chance at the end of the quarter. I've never been afraid to throw a ball like this, like (teammate) BP threw one today. In fact, I still don’t understand what the specific rules are, for example, where are the boundaries?

Reporter: 35 feet away, the last three seconds - but if it is the fourth quarter, this ball does not count (meaning it does not affect the shooting percentage).

Curry: So this is too complicated, just play your own basketball.

Reporter: I think I asked you about this rule before, and you said at the time that I just wanted to make a shot.

Curry: Yeah, I don't care. In fact, there will only be a dozen of these shots in a whole season, right?

Reporter: You scored 4 such goals last season.

Curry: How many times did you make 4 shots?

Reporter: There is no exact number because they have to go back and check one by one.

Curry: Yeah, what a fuss out of a molehill.
