According to the "Daily Sports" report, Barcelona is considering changing its official bank sponsor Caixa Bank. The contract between the two parties has expired on June 30, 2025 but has not yet reached an agreement on the renewal. This cooperation previously brought Barcelona about 6 million euros in revenue every year.

The report further revealed that the direct cause of the deterioration of the relationship was related to a fraud case in 2023. At that time, a number of Barcelona executives, including Enrique Masip, Ferran Olivet and Mateu Aleman, were recommended by the president of the Camp Nou branch of Caixa Bank and each invested more than 250,000 euros in real estate auction projects, but were eventually defrauded. The bank later refused to assume liability for compensation, leading to a deadlock in the relationship between the two parties.

Barcelona is currently actively looking for new partners. After previous negotiations with BBVA Bank failed to acquire Banco Sabadell, London-based digital bank Revolut emerged as a leading candidate.
