Flick should not complain to me. I can't understand it because he has also served as the head coach of the national team. At the end of the day, everyone speaks from their own standpoint, and sometimes I can't understand the club's standpoint. You must know that all players are eager to be selected for the national team. The schedule is clear and everyone knows how many games there are. What is unacceptable is that some people keep complaining in November and then say everything is fine when the competition restarts in the new year. There are indeed a lot of games, which is a tough test for the players.

Regarding the possibility of Spain winning the World Cup next year

We will fight for a beautiful dream. I believe that success lies not only in whether the dream can be realized in the end, but what is even better is the process of chasing the dream and the journey underfoot.

Will there be major adjustments to Spain’s World Cup roster?

At present, I am not sure how many players will eventually be selected for the World Cup squad, but in my mind, I already have the ideal main lineup and substitute players for the Spanish team.

How would you inform a player of your decision not to be selected?

For some players, I do take the time to explain the reasons to them privately; but for other players, I don't. I have a clear conscience and will not bear the psychological burden of such a thing. The players know I've always been honest with them - I never hesitated when it was time to call them up. I believe that when they really can't be selected, they will understand my decision. I have never deceived anyone.

Do you think you are lucky to have so many talented players at your disposal?

I don’t believe in the so-called ‘lucky’. The growth of these players is first and foremost inseparable from the club’s training of them. If the club had not invested resources in these players, we would not have such youth training results; similarly, if the Spanish Football Federation did not have such a solid work as it does now, we would not be in today's situation.

Who is the best player you have ever seen?

From a coaching perspective, I've seen a lot of great players. I have always firmly supported local Spanish players. From the perspective of understanding of football, tactical preparation and technical ability, many of the best players in the world are in Spain. Yamal, Pedri, Rodri - the list goes on - they are, in my opinion, the best players in the world.
