Phil Jackson was born on September 17, 1945 in Deer Rocky, Montana, USA. He was selected by the Knicks with the 17th pick in the second round in the 1967 NBA Draft. He played for the Knicks and the Nets in his career. He played in 807 regular season games, averaging 6.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He has won two NBA championships as a player (1970, 1973).

During his coaching period, Jackson coached two teams, the Bulls and Lakers, coached a total of 1,640 games, with a record of 1,155 wins and 485 losses. He is the sixth coach with a winning rate of 70.4%, ranking first in NBA history. Jackson served as the All-Star Head Coach four times (1992, 1996, 2000, 2009), was elected the Best Coach in 1996, and won 11 championships (1991-1993, 1996-1998, 2000-2002, 2009, 2010). Jackson was selected as a coach in 2007 as a coach and retired in 2011.
