Big Fan: The Lakers are not a championship team next season. There are too many places to add to their lineup

Recently, former NBA head coach Stan Van Gundy participated in the "Nothing Personal with David Samson" podcast and talked about his views on the Lakers in the new season.

Host: "LeBron's best chance to win the championship next season is not the Los Angeles Lakers."

Van Gundy: "I agree. It's definitely not in the Lakers, but I don't know where he will go or what kind of deals it needs to achieve. I expect him to return to the Lakers. I think they are not bad. It will definitely help with him and Luca playing a full training camp and season with him, but I still feel that they are not strong enough."

Host: "With Luca and LeBron, in theory, they should be at least contenders, but do you think they can't even compete for the championship next season?"

Van Gundy: "I don't think so. If they can add a big man to solve the problem of point guards, they have a lot to deal with now, need more shooting and more depth, and there are too many places to strengthen the lineup. I can't see how they can get all these together next season."
