Western media: Ter Stegen and Juan Garcia are recovering well and are expected to return
According to Estadio Deportivo, Barcelona has made positive progress with a series of injured players in preparation for the game against Elche. The biggest progress comes from the goalkeeper position. Ter Stegen underwent back surgery in July and has now entered the decisive stage of recovery. He has begun special training on the lawn with the goal of returning to the team as soon as possible. The recovery of another goalkeeper, Juan Garcia, is also accelerating. He has participated in several on-field trainings and is expected to receive medical clearance soon, and may even return before the international break. The competition for the goalkeeper position will become fierce, because Szczesny performed well in the El Clasico and earned himself a reason to compete for the main team. On the offensive end, Dani Olmo and Lewandowski are still conducting some individual training, but they are making positive progress. On the defensive line, Kubasi was not injured and he stayed in the gym for load management. Christensen continues to suffer from slight discomfort and has not yet participated in joint training.
