We are very happy. We had a good performance in the last game against Fiorentina and the atmosphere was positive, but the coach always tells us to focus on the next game. That's what we're doing, trying to stay at the top.

Yes, in my opinion it is true for everyone. Last season was not going well for us and this season we have new players, a new coach and the atmosphere is different now. We've had a good start to the season and hope to continue that, not only individually but also as a team. The coach asked me something and I tried my best to do it on the court. I'm satisfied with my performance and that of the team.

Do you believe you can participate in next year's World Cup?

Of course. I have spoken to coach Tuchel a few times and I know what I should do. I knew that if I performed well at Milan I would get a call-up to the England squad. I hope so. I have to focus on what I'm doing so that I'm ready when the call-up comes. The World Cup is a dream for everyone, and it’s the same for me.

You are one of the few remaining players in the Milan team who won the 2021-22 Serie A championship with the team... What do you think are the similarities between this Milan and the winning team at that time?

I don’t know, we are different teams and the environment is different. But there are some similarities: we have a sense that we are a good team and have the mentality to play well game after game. Now we have to think about the next opponent Pisa, then Atalanta, then Roma... We follow the coach's instructions and focus on every game. It's too early to say "we're going to win Serie A", but of course we're in a good position at the moment. We will continue to show our strength against Pisa.

Can Modric perform like Ibrahimovic in 2022?

Yes, it is possible. They have different characteristics, but they are both experienced. Ibrahimovic is a little tougher and will motivate the team through speeches; while Modric sets an example with his own way of playing, training and competition.
