Official: Leverkusen renews contract with 29-year-old center Hick until 2030

On Monday local time, Leverkusen officially announced that it would renew its contract with the team's forward Sick, and the new contract between the two sides will be in 2030.

Leverkusen officially stated that the club renewed its contract with Hick in advance, and the center signed a contract until June 30, 2030. The original contract between the two parties will be until the summer of 2027.

29-year-old Hick joined Leverkusen in 2020, and has made 168 appearances so far, contributing 81 goals and 12 assists.

Regarding the renewal, Pharmaceutical Sports General Manager Rollfies said: "Through the promise conveyed by Hick's renewal, we have not only convinced the center who has scored one of the highest goals in Europe to accept our philosophy, but we have also locked in a leading player for the team through this renewal. We will work with him to strike the highest goal in the next few years."

Rollfies: "As Leverkusen enters the next cycle, we regard Hick as a promoter of the team's development. He has excellent football ability and extraordinary goal efficiency. With rich international competition experience, he will help inject necessary stability and organization into the team."

Hick himself expressed his desire to play a greater influence on the team in the future through renewal: "I hope and will continue to contribute goals, which is my strength. In addition, I also look forward to becoming a pillar in the construction of a new and championship-winning team. I am full of expectations for the future. Leverkusen is making every effort to build a top team for the future. I firmly believe that we will still play an important role in the Bundesliga and European arena in the future. "
