Marca: Saudi Arabia s time-out submission of transfer documents is not accepted, Biba tries to register Laporte
According to Le Marca, Bilbao is trying his best to register Laporte because Saudi Arabia submitted its transfer documents over time. Bilbao is facing serious transfer dilemma, and the future of Spanish central defender Laporte is undecided. Due to delays in submission of documents, FIFA cannot recognize the three-year contract signed by both parties, resulting in the players being in a state of uncertainty. In this regard, the club is considering various ways to obtain a registration license. They plan to appeal the support of the Spanish Football Association to UEFA and may eventually seek help from the Sports Arbitration Tribunal. Since a few months ago, Biba has been looking for a central defender, and now the only two left Vivian and Paredes to deal with La Liga and Champions League games. However, overconfident attitude towards signing Laporte made Biba ignore the risk factors that may arise during the negotiation process. In fact, during the negotiations held in Riyadh, Biba did not directly participate and failed to resolve relevant obstacles in a timely manner. Obviously, this was a catastrophic blow. Biba has not made any statement on the matter after the transfer window is closed for several hours and a warning from FIFA. However, the club's chairman and football director have announced that they will hold a press conference within two weeks to discuss the transfer market summary and first-team goals. However, due to the current situation, they are expected to hold a meeting in advance. There is even news that a delegation from Bilbao may head to FIFA headquarters in Zurich to try to prove the validity of the deal. Despite this, the news surrounding Laporte's failure in transfer is in stark contrast to the team's victory in the first three rounds of the new season leading the standings. Although the competitive performance is excellent, this cannot cover up the huge psychological pressure the club management has suffered as a result of the failure of the transfer.
