Laporta: The relationship with Messi was damaged by the failure to renew the contract, and he hopes to organize a replacement tribute ceremony for him

Barcelona President Laporta attended the "Bestial" program, where he talked about his relationship with Messi.

In the program, he answered a series of multiple-choice questions, one of which was: "Who is God, Cruyff or Messi?" Laporta's answer was without hesitation.

He said: "It's Cruyff. Messi and I have always had a good relationship, but this relationship was damaged after we failed to complete the contract extension. We have since more or less restored some contact, and we now hope to hold a grand tribute ceremony for him that he deserves."

Laporta also admitted that he is a Catholic and expressed his love for Barcelona in a humorous way.

"I believe in God, and faith helps me, although I am not religious. I like to believe, it is like a conscience. What is heaven? As the bishop said, it is 'a place where Barcelona scores a goal for Real Madrid every five minutes.' If God exists, then he must be a Barcelona fan."
