Kavajal: I feel very good now, I will be able to complete the entire training class tomorrow or the day after tomorrow

Recently, Kavajal was an exclusive interview with DAZN, and he talked about the serious knee injury he suffered.

On October 5, 2024, in Real Madrid's match against Villarreal, Carvajal suffered a severe knee injury at the Bernabeu Stadium, including an ACL, lateral collateral ligament and hamstring tendon tear, which kept him away from the field to this day.

Kawajal said: "I feel very good now and have started training with the team. I will be able to complete the entire training class tomorrow or the day after tomorrow."

After eight months of long recovery period, Kawajal finally saw the dawn. He stressed that this type of injury needs to be treated with caution to avoid infection and other complications: "The key is to set short-term goals and gradually recover. Start with walking with crutches, then to the gym, swimming pool, and finally running, step by step."

As the recovery progressed, Carvajal felt the feeling of being a player again: "Now I want to accumulate more training classes and see how it is. Such injuries will make you stronger and cherish every moment of your health. You realize the importance of training and competition every day, which is another mature way."

Talking about the changes in the new coach Alonso's successor to Ancelotti, Carvajal said: "He knows the club very well and does not rush to make big changes. He wants to maintain a certain degree of continuity because we have just gone through a long season. He is conveying some new ideas, but it takes time to consolidate."
