Seriously? Cuban: The team s success or failure in the new season depends on the three-point performance of Lefley and Davis

Recently, on the DLLS Mavs podcast, Mark Cuban, a small shareholder of the Mavericks, talked about his outlook for the team's new season.

Cuban hopes that the team will prioritize Derek Leifly II and Anthony Davis as outside shooters: "I really think our success or failure in the new season will depend on the three-point shooting performance of Lefly and AD, and I think (Lefly) will be allowed to take action."

It is worth mentioning that since the Lakers won the 2019-20 season, Davis has not had a three-point shooting percentage of more than 30% in one season, and Lefly has only hit one goal outside the three-point line in his career (appearing in Game 4 of the 2024 NBA Finals).
