Reporter who broke the news: Garnett thought he was attending a party, not a card game, and then left early
Reporter Pablo Torre, who broke the news about Xiao Ka’s alleged yin and yang contract, previously reported that a group of former professional players participated in this illegal high-stakes poker game. According to multiple sources who knew about the game that took place in 2019, one of this group of former professional athletes is Kevin Garnett. Pablo Torre talked about the details on his Today's Update podcast. He said that Garnett initially thought he was attending a party, not a poker game. Garnett subsequently left the event early, and the federal Department of Justice has not yet had contact with Garnett.
