US media Clutchpoints posted a statistic about the experience of NBA players among NBA head coaches in the new season on social media. There are 10 head coaches in the new season who have had NBA players, and this data accounts for one-third of the total number of head coaches in the league.

These head coaches are: Carlisle (Pacers), Doug Christie (Kings), Billups (Trail Blazers), Rivers (Bucks), Cole (Warriors), Tyron Lue (Clippers), Willie Green (Pelicans), Uduka (Rocks), Redick (Lakes) and Kidd (Mavericks).
