The contradictions continue to escalate! TA: FIFA accuses FIFPro of ransomware and financial opacity

The Athletic reported that FIFF recently accused the International Professional Players Association (FIFPro) of "ransformation" and financial opacity, and the conflicts between the two major organizations continued to escalate.

FIFPro's new chairman Sergio Marci called the dictatorship of FIFA President Infantino the biggest obstacle facing the association in an exclusive interview with The Athletic on Thursday. After meeting with 58 players' associations in the Netherlands on Friday, FIFPro issued another statement condemning FIFA's autocratic governance system for seriously infringing on players' rights.

FIFA issued a statement on Friday night to counterattack, accusing FIFPro of choosing to engage in open confrontation through artificially created public relations wars, saying that its actions aim to safeguard personal status and interests rather than protect player welfare. The relationship between the two sides continued to deteriorate due to issues such as schedule and player welfare. FIFPro was not invited to attend the FIFA consultation meeting on the mandatory rest period of players at the beginning of this month.

FIFA retorted in its statement: "Since FIFPro is vocal about good governance, why not disclose the organization's constitution and transparent financial report? It is important to know that you cannot advocate transparency while operating in secret."

In addition, FIFA also asked the association to "stop extortion, withdraw complaints, and publish the charter, complete financial report (including all sources of income, details of the intellectual property rights of the players claimed to have, and the football organization funding received by regional branches) and the list of players claimed to represent.

However, according to The Athletic, FIFPro's financial report has been made public in the Dutch Business Registration Office.

FIFA proved its position based on the mandatory rest measures introduced after the New York Conference (at least 72 hours between matches and 21 days off after the season), saying that it had tried to invite FIFPro to conduct constructive dialogue with a non-hostile attitude for a long time before the meeting but failed. The Athletic learned that none of the participants had a formal representative status of FIFPro, and some of them had even been removed from the organization.

FIFPro statement accused: "Excessive schedule, insufficient recovery period, extreme game environment, lack of effective dialogue and continuous disregard for players' social rights have become the pillars of the FIFA business model. This model endangers the health of players and marginalizes the core football group."

The association also specifically pointed out that many games in the new version of the Club World Cup were postponed due to high temperature thunderstorms, and the game environment is extreme and inappropriate for humans.

In response to FIFPro Chairman Marci's statement that Infantino was called "a man who claims to be a god", FIFA condemned this as "a series of personal attacks" and accused the other party of "indulging in dramatic condemnation and putting media headlines above the players' substantive interests."
