TA: Douglas Louis will loan Forest, including mandatory buyout terms linked to appearances
According to The Athletic, Nottingham Forest has reached an agreement with Juventus on Douglas Luis' transfer. Douglas Louis will join on loan and trigger a mandatory buyout clause based on his appearances for Nottingham Forest. If the player does not reach the specified number of appearances, Nottingham Forest can still choose to buy it out for a fee of about 30 million euros. Nottingham Forest has made frequent transfers recently and has signed Hutchinson, McCarthy and Calimundo one after another. Previously, they also introduced Ndoye from Bologna at a team record-breaking price, and their pursuit of Manchester City defender Rico Lewis continues. club also introduced Jail Cunya and Igor Jesus from Botavgo and obtained goalkeeper Angus Gunn in a sign-free form. Douglas Luis transferred from Villa to Juventus last summer with a five-year contract with 50 million Euro plus additional terms, which Villa made a move to avoid violating the Premier League Profitability and Sustainable Development Rules (PSR). Douglas Louis only made 27 appearances during the season, including only 6 starts and only 3 starts in the league. According to previous reports, Manchester City had intended to loan Douglas Louis in January, but Juventus insisted on selling directly or with a forced buyout clause, and the deal failed to happen.
