 According to German media Bild, Bayern signed the new head of rehabilitation department from another Bundesliga team, Frankfurt. The report said that Sommer, 43, joined Bayern from Bundesliga rival Frankfurt in mid-August, where he served as the new director of the rehabilitation department after the reorganization. In the industry, Sommer is considered an absolute expert. He is proficient in business and knows where to start to solve problems.   Because of this, Bayern had hoped to get this rehabilitation expert anyway. In the summer of 2019, then-Frankfurt executive Bobic took him from Ingolstadt to Frankfurt. Since then, he has been responsible for the comebacks of many Frankfurt stars and has done first-class work.   In his former club, both coaches and players appreciate him and admire his efforts as a physical therapist, osteopath and rehabilitation coach. Some time ago, he and his colleagues had just helped Frankfurt goalkeeper Coon Santos recover quickly from a cruciate ligament tear.   Over the past few days, the expert has also really made his debut on the grass at Bayern training grounds and showed everyone his work: For example, on Tuesday morning, Sommer stood on the training ground with two players in rehabilitation Davis (a ruptured ACL with cartilage damage) and Yohi Ito (a third metatarsal fracture).  The two stars conducted more than half an hour of dribbling training on Sebena Street. At the end of the training, Davis and Yohi Ito were still running laps on the field. Both players were injured in March and have undergone a very long recovery since the surgery, and are now under the responsibility of the new expert.   In addition, Sommer is also responsible for rehabilitation training for Musiara (whose fibula fracture and underwent surgery in the Club World Cup in June). Musiara is expected to return to the team in November, as is Davis and Yoshihiro Ito.   Given that Bayern's lineup is currently weak, head coach Kompany needs to welcome every player as soon as possible, but the premise is that you cannot risk the recurrence of injuries. Therefore, Sommer, who is now in charge of the recovery of these three players, is now shouldering one of Bayern's most important tasks.
