Phelan: Every experience of my experience has made a better Phelan, and the best Phelan is still on the way
Recently, Ferran Torres was interviewed by Athlete Club magazine, and he talked about topics such as his career, coaching and how to face the difficulties he encountered. Q: Who is Ferran Torres? Answer: An ordinary, quiet, humble young man playing football. Q: How did your football career begin, how did you enter Valencia's youth training camp? Answer: I played indoor football at school, and when I was in EPLA school, Valencia signed me when I was 7 years old. I went through all levels of competition there and lived in a boarding dormitory until I finally made my debut on the first team. Q: You were born on February 29th in a leap year. Do you celebrate your birthday on February 28th? Answer: I don’t like to celebrate your birthday crazy every year, so I will celebrate it every four years. Q: When did you realize that you can be a professional player, have you given up a lot for this? What is the hardest? Answer: When I was 15 years old, training with a higher-level team and approaching the Valencia first team, I felt that my dream might have come true. In fact, neither my teammates fully realized how far we have gone. The hardest thing was leaving my family, whether it was living in a boarding dormitory or in Manchester, when I was still young and devoted myself to football, I needed to make some sacrifices. Q: You have been taught by Guardiola, Luis Enrique and Xavi. What did they each bring to you? Answer: They all have a deep understanding of football and have achieved great success as players and coaches. They helped me a lot. Pep is a visionary guy who can foresee every game and is the first to see my potential as a No. 9 player. Louis Enrique gave me confidence when I didn't play for a long time, making me believe in myself more. Xavi represents the pure Barcelona spirit, and his understanding of football is also unique. Q: What kind of person is Frick, what changes did he make to you A: He is a winner and is very good at managing top teams. He also cares very much about everyone, especially those who don’t play, and he is very close to everyone. Q: What does the shark mentality mean? Answer: This is a desire to constantly pursue progress, never give up, and continue to evolve. It represents the ambition to overcome difficulties and reach the peak. Q: You have a tattoo that says "try, fail, stand up again." How many times have you made mistakes? Have you ever thought that you might not be able to stand up again Answer: You make mistakes every day, this is the cornerstone of success: try and make mistakes. I also learned to enjoy difficult moments, learn from them and turn things around. I had a bad season in Barcelona two years ago, which changed my mindset and came here. I did doubt that I could get back on my feet at that time, but I did. Q: You say you like to be hated because you can close the critic's mouth, do you see stress as a positive thing? A: Yes, stress will make you grow. People pay attention to you and will motivate you more, which means you have a lot to offer. Q: Will you be angry when you are labeled as a "substitute killer"? Answer: Criticism is part of football, even necessary. I try to use every minute to contribute work, goals and assists to the team. It's impossible to satisfy everyone, so I don't care too much about other people thinking I'm a backup killer or thinking I'm not as good as other players. Q: The outside world believes that football players are the privileged class, what are the negative effects we cannot see? Answer: Indeed, we have made a lot of money since we were young, so we can say that we are the privileged class. But we also missed many things our peers experienced, and time is gone forever. Q: Do you think football players should participate more in social topics? Answer: Everyone should do what they think is appropriate. I think everyone has their own opinions. I don’t want to use their image to influence or change others. Q: You have won a European championship with the national team. Do you dream of becoming a world champion? A: Why not! Although it is difficult, we have a strong team and we should have big dreams. Q: We see you dress boldly on social media, how do you define your dressing style? A: Sometimes I add a little magic (laughs), but in daily life I tend to be low-key and simple, and occasionally I like to take risks. Q: Which teammate's wardrobe would you steal, and who would you give a fashion class to? Answer: I will definitely give Eric Garcia a fashion class. As for the wardrobe, I am actually very satisfied with myself. Q: You watched Barcelona Open and NBA games, what career would you do if you were not a football player? A: I like to watch and participate in various sports, and if I were not a football player, I might become a physical therapist. Q: How do you deal with the trough when things are not going well? Answer: Like everyone else, I will feel sad, but I have to cheer up. I learned to find fun and benefit from difficult times. I love taking my dog to the beach or the mountains for a walk. I also chat with friends, psychologists, agents or family members, especially my sister, and sometimes crying is also a way to release my heart. Q: Do you have a Phoenix tattoo. Is the best Ferran Torres reborn? Answer: It can be said that I became stronger after a difficult period. That experience created a better Ferran, with a better mentality, and there is still a lot of room for improvement. The best Ferran is still on the way.
