British media: Saliba is expected to play against Biba after participating in training, Saka hopes to return against Manchester City on the weekend
Mid week, the Champions League stage of the 25-26 season will start, and Arsenal will challenge Bilbao away in the first round. "London Football Network" updated the Gunners' players' injuries and training. Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the fourth round of the Premier League, Suvimenti scored twice, and Yorke scored a goal. Arteta led the team for open training on Monday, and the Gunners coach ushered in major positive news in preparation for Bilbao. defensive general Saliba participated in the training and he is expected to play in Bilbao. The French defender was replaced early due to an ankle injury against Liverpool a few days ago, and he missed the game against Nottingham Forest. Now that Saliba returns to the training ground, this is a huge encouragement for the Gunners. Norgao also appeared on the training ground, although he was not selected for the roster against the Forests. The Danes have not made their debut since joining Arsenal from Brentford this summer, but it looks like he has a chance to go with the team to Bilbao. On the other hand, captain Odge did not participate in training and was forced to leave the court due to a shoulder injury against Nottingham Forest. Arteta said: "I don't know if the injury was in the same position, but the injuries were very similar. Odegao felt uncomfortable and could not continue playing. He played two games for the Norwegian national team, and unfortunately he couldn't hold on today. We will evaluate his situation with the doctor, but I believe he will do his best to recover on Tuesday." When asked if Odegao needs surgery, Arteta said: "No, I don't think so. Of course, I'm not an expert, but judging from the current situation, they are not too worried. In the past few days, Odegao was able to control the pain, which means his injury was not that serious at that time. I don't know the specific situation of the two days, but I hope he doesn't need surgery." In addition, Saka, Havertz and Jesus missed public training on Monday. It is understood that Saka's goal is to make a comeback in the Premier League match against Manchester City this Sunday, and he may resume training this week. Arteta will provide updates on the team at a pre-match press conference Monday night.
