British media: Liverpool s initial offer for Ekitic is 70 million pounds, while French Eagle s real asking price is 78 million pounds
According to British media tbrfootball, the French Eagle's real asking price for Ekitic is 78 million pounds. According to reports, Ekitic has reached personal terms with Liverpool Principles, and Liverpool has been in contact with Ekitic for the past 48 hours, but the main question now is whether they can convince Frankfurt to sell the striker. TBR Football chief reporter Graeme Bailey reported that Liverpool's initial offer for Ekitic was 70 million pounds, but Frankfurt has publicly asked for a price of 100 million euros (about 86 million pounds) due to other Premier League teams interested in him this summer. Arsenal and Chelsea are both interested in Ekitic, but Liverpool is working hard to make the deal happen. It is understood that the real asking price in Frankfurt is close to 90 million euros (78 million pounds), and Liverpool's offer price is not far from it. Meanwhile, Newcastle has ended negotiations with Ekitic, a club source insisting that their transfer to Ekitic is not as deep as some claim. Interestingly, Ekitic said in past interviews that he would love to play for Manchester United, but given Liverpool's current position in the Premier League, he may be equally excited about playing at Anfield.
